Quilt Rachel Made for Ferri
This was a lot of fun to do. The kids all contributed to design concepts.
In tragic news, one of the students killed in last night's terrorist attack was Yoshe Ber's mohel's son, from Cochav HaShachar. (He also performed our two nephews' britot.) Another kid is a friend's friends' kid. This is the yeshiva at the end of the street where Yehoshua and I lived when we were first married, and is the cream and leader of the religious-Zionist yeshivas. It's sort of like someone shooting up the library in MIT. Yehoshua is extremely upset and shaken up, he was in Jerusalem last night for his study group, which was interrupted by the news to say Psalms (a traditional reaction to tragedy). I am still in the cushioning of shock and sort of grateful that this afternoon, I'm forced to focus on getting Shabbas ready. Anger, anxiety and grief can all hit later.

How fabulous??
How fabulous is our Adina? Last night she performed in a wonderful local talent show, "Night of Stars," in a dance sequence that included ballet and modern, and was partnered with an extremely talented local singer, Judith Gerzi, singing "Bridge over Troubled Water." I wish I could post a video to show you all how graceful, confident, and wholehearted she is when she dances. You'll notice she's a full head shorter than the other students - that's because she's the youngest in the class. What Yiddishe nachos!
Mommy
PS In other news, small dilation and 80% effacement. If you don't know what that means, don't worry about it.
