Bananot's tiyul

Bananot is an outgrowth of the Beit Shemesh Girls' Book Group, which started doing other fun activities in addition to discussing Harry Potter. These pictures are from our first hike, to Tel Socho, aka Lupine Hill. We spent so much time looking at the ruins and wildflowers, we didn't even have time to find the lupines.

Rachel's first quilt

This was my gift to Yehoshua for our 10th anniversary. Machine pieced, hand-quilted, for those who care.

Adina's Purim!

Today is Purim! On Purim you get costume and you give out "Mishlloach Manot". Mishlloach Manot is when you give out food to your Friends and Family. I know all my family atlist 45 minuts away. But I know that you want to give me and I want to give you. if YOU wan to give Mishlloach Manot there is a few roles you need to do. 1. is that you need to give the person 2 kinds of food or more. 2. you need to give it on Purim 3. there needs to be atlist 2 Brachot: Brachot is, When you are starting to eat food you must Thank God for what they made and we say a "Barcha" before you eat and after you eat. If you don't do 1 of these things the Mishlloach Manot will be not kosher: What is kosher? Kosher is that I am not alowd to eat pig and also you are not alowd to eat meat and milk together. And when you eat meat you need to wait 5 and a half hours. if you eat milk you are alowd not to wait. But you can't eat them together as 1 meal.
Happy Purim!
